Dear parishioners of Saint Patrick and Saint Kateri Tekewitha Churches.
As your new pastor, I want you to know that I am excited to be here. With a new priest, there is a period of getting to know one another. I am sure that you are wondering about "What is this priest like? What is he going to do? And I am sure there are many other questions which I hope will be answered soon.
I am here to be your priest. I am not a loud, flashy person. I don't need headlines. So I can use my 38 years of priestly experience to help you and me grow more deeply in love of God and each other. It is my firm belief that each member of the parish has a unique ministry in the service of each other and the church. It is my hope that together we can make our parish a light shining in Jefferson County. As you may know, I also serve as the Vicar General for the Diocese. Because of this I need to be at the office of the Bishop on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. But even while I am there, I am still available for your calls and concerns. I thank God for this opportunity to serve you and for us to minister together for the kingdom of God.
Very Rev. Rick Fischer VG
